Which Countries Help Us Out During a Natural Disaster ?
Q. We help everybody else out with food, money, rebuilding, aid and other things. Who helps us out when when we have a natural disaster? Like hurricane katrina, somewhere around 82 billion in damage, thats alot of money. Who comes to our aid, Now during hurricane earl, who again will help us out? Why do we rush to aid other countries, but to my knowledge which could be wrong, no other countries rush to help us?

A. In case of crisis, the International Monetary Fund is there to help the member countries. The USA being the richest country, contributes with (if I remember correctly!) 17 percent. That is, for example, the part of the Greek financial bailout covered by the IMF that the USA will pay. Has the USA asked for such a help before? I don't know, I am Norwegian. Can the USA ask for such a help in the future? Of course, it is the intention of the Fund! Regarding other forms of help, Norway has three divisions to help you in Afghanistan. Not much but the total Norwegian population is only half that of New York City.
